Uxmal, the largest and most beautiful Maya city of the Classical Puuc style, it is known for its buildings and temples as well as for its magnificent terraces.

Uxmal is 1:30 minutes away from Merida.

Kabah, its most outstanding feature is its main temple which has a front with 260 large stucco masks that represent Chaac, god of rain; there we will find a monumental arch that is the entrance to this ceremonial center.

Kabah is 20 minutes away from Uxmal.

Dzibilchaltun, located 17 km to the north of Merida, is considered one of the oldest Mayan cities; its name means “place where there are writings on flat stones”.

Progreso, it is the main port in the state of Yucatan located to the north of Merida and about 20 minutes from this city. During the high season in July and August, its beaches get crowded by thousands of tourists, especially the local ones. This is a tradition in these months for the wealthy inhabitants of Merida.

Mayapan, here in Mayapan we can see the Light and Shadow phenomena during the solstices of summer and winter. The first one is when the sun reaches its highest inclination to the north in reference to the west. The second one is when the sun reaches its highest inclination to the south in reference to the west.

Loltun, etymologically Loltun comes from the roots Lol – flower and Tun – stone, so it means “stone flower” in the Mayan language. Nowadays, Loltun caves are considered to be in the archaeological site that has the widest chronological sequence.

Edzna, it is one of the most interesting Mayan cities in the state of Campeche due to the technological advances found there; its plazas had a magnificent draining system and the rain water was collected in artificial containers called CHALTUNES.

Campeche, in the state with the same name, is located in the southwest part of the Yucatan Peninsula; this state has important restricted areas for the preservation of the flora and fauna. It takes about 45:00 minutes to get to Edzna from Campeche.
